When designing your new deck, you don’t want it to be a lifeless wasteland of endless decking boards or tiles. Good garden design is all about balance, to make your outdoor space a place you will really love. Key design features include checking which direction your outdoor space faces and to design the garden to make good use of sunlight and shade. However, many clients are asking us for low maintenance solutions as the upkeep of live plants can be time-consuming and costly. Artificial turf is enjoying new-found popularity as a viable garden addition, as it is relatively inexpensive to install and requires little to no maintenance, and also has the benefit of being highly durable. This is what makes artificial turf an obvious choice for hospitals, residential complexes, hotels, holiday homes and so on. It couldn’t be easier to install either with Outdure’s Qwickbuild artificial turf pedestal system. Our Qwickbuild system is a lightweight yet incredibly strong support system onto which tiles, composite or real wood decking or artificial turf can be attached. The aluminum base is modular in design, so it is incredibly versatile for any type of space.
The Qwickbuild base can be installed as an alternative to decking boards on a range of different surface types including concrete, gravel, and natural ground. It provides a very stable, even surface for a range of different looks, including artificial turf. Once the structure is completed, artificial turf and underlay are attached to the aluminum baseboards, which are then attached to the frame. Because the Qwickbuild modular system is so versatile, you can combine different features such as planting zones, stone and wooden surfaces, and artificial grass within different zones. The juxtaposition of the green of artificial turf against beautiful natural wood or stone tiles can transform any outdoor space into a mini haven from the bustle of city life. We offer an expert design service, helping you to imagine what your outdoor space could look like. Whether it’s your backyard or a rooftop, our artificial turf pedestal system can transform the space quickly and easily. Take a look at some of the projects we have completed using modular artificial turf.
Artificial turf used to get a bad press in the past for looking unrealistic, being environmentally unfriendly, and being abrasive to the touch. At Outdure, we only use Ultraplush which is softer and more realistic than the modular artificial turf of bygone days. It’s safe for children and pets, and at the end of its lifespan, it's fully recyclable, making it environmentally friendly alternative decking materials. Being artificial, it does not require watering or maintenance, but still gives the viewer the therapeutic benefits of seeing a green landscape. It won’t fade in the sun, being UV-resistant but will keep looking fantastic year after year. Ultraplush artificial turf is the best turf alternative that we have come across.
